Focusing on Patient Centred Work
For over 30 years ELF has been funding work which has had an immediate or near future benefit to patients with a blood cancer.
ELF makes grants for patient centred projects; awards educational fellowships; and helps patients who, through illness, find themselves in financial hardship.
WHY SUPPORT ELF
Blood cancers affect all ages, from babies through to old age. The diagnosis of a blood cancer is a personal disaster for the individual and their family, and the treatment of these cancers can have a major impact on their lives. The basic facts are that:
- Every year 25,000 new cases of blood cancer are diagnosed.
- Leukaemia accounts for one third of all cancers diagnosed in children.
- Blood cancers kill 10,000 people every year.
ELF relies totally on voluntary funding and we need your support to continue to advance the cure and treatment of blood cancers. You can help us by making a donation or by taking part in a fundraising event.
