Each year, we are very fortunate to have many enthusiastic supporters wishing to run the London Marathon to raise funds for ELF. It takes a true champion (in our eyes!) to take on a gruelling 26 mile run and raise funds to support those affected by blood cancers.
Each one of our runners chooses to take on such a challenge and support ELF for reasons close to their heart. This year, we will be running features on ELF’s marathon runners to share the story behind why they chose to take on such a challenge and support ELF.
Our first feature on Team ELF London Marathon 2017 runners focuses on Nigel Hewson and Steve Burnett, two friends who chose to run for ELF in their first marathon in memory of someone very special, Nigel’s son, Carl. Follow this link to find out more.
Our second feature focuses on Kate Wilson, who will be running in memory of her mother. Follow this link to find out more.
The third feature focuses on Leah Wright. Follow this link to find out more about why she’s running for ELF!
Our fourth feature focuses on Dave Daplyn who chose to run the London Marathon 2017 for ELF in memory of his great friend Carl Hewson. Follow this link to find out more
We are so very grateful to all our marathon runners, they are our champions!
