Elimination of
Leukaemia Fund

ABOUT THE ELIMINATION OF LEUKAEMIA FUND
The Elimination of Leukaemia Fund (ELF) was set up in 1977 to help advance the cure and
treatment of leukaemia, lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndromes.
Since 1977 ELF has been helping to advance the cure and treatment of these blood cancers by:
• Sponsoring patient centred medical research
• Funding patient support activities
• Helping to educate doctors, nurses, clinical scientists and related health professionals
• Providing financial help to patients who experience hardship whilst being treated
Like many charities, the Elimination of Leukaemia Fund was set up in gratitude for the treatment a patient received. That patient was Isobel Mitchell and in the early 1970’s when Isobel was first diagnosed with leukaemia, she survived for over 14 years as a result of her treatment.

The trustees of the Elimination of Leukaemia Fund have always sought to ensure that the Charity has a slim organisation.
For every £1 you donate at least 85p goes directly to advancing the cure and treatment of blood cancers. The rest goes towards raising more funds.

We rely totally on voluntary donations
