FELLOWSHIPS
The Charity introduced a Travel and Training Fellowship scheme in 1997 to enable medical doctors, nurses, clinical scientists and related health professionals working in the UK to advance their knowledge and expertise in the treatment of leukaemia, lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndromes.
Fellowships are intended to support attendance at conferences, workshops, short term visits to centres of excellence for specialist training courses and formal in-house training. Fellowships are not awarded for general educational courses or for first or master degree courses, though we will consider applications for haematological modules of degree courses. Fellowships are not awarded to the same individual in consecutive years.
Applications are assessed 4 times each year and the closing dates for submissions are the last working day in August, November, February and May. Applicants must use a current application form which can be obtained from the Charity on application by email; a link for this is below.
It can take up to 6 weeks following the closing date for applications to be processed and awards announced. It is therefore essential that applications are made in a timely manner as no application will be considered for an event that has taken place prior to the closing date.
