Greenwich Recitals
There will be a recital in Greenwich on the 27 September at which Gunel Mirzayeva, piano, and she sister Nigulia, violin. This follows successful recital by Gunel in 2007. The sisters will be playing a selection of works from Chopin, Rachmaninov, Mozart and Scriabin, and a fantasy for violin and piano on a Bulgarian folk song by Vladigerov
Gunel was born in 1987 in Azerbaijan and began studying the piano at the age of 7. She won a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2006, where she is currently a student. In 2007, Gunel gave recitals at the House of Commons and Guildhall, as well as in Greenwich.
Nigulia was born in 1989 and came to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School in 2002. She has now won a scholarship to to at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Nigulia has already played with James Galway and the London Mozart Players.
